Recently I had a conversation with a friend about what we have told Elianna about Santa Claus. Our solution is simple. Tell her about him and then tell her he isn't real. She's fine with that. Historically the man Santa Claus is named after was a kind man who really did give toys to kids. {This all has a point.} So in watching the movie, Elf, I didn't know how Elianna would do since we had talked about Santa Claus not being real. However, she took it a just that - a movie. Same as she would Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or any other show she has watched.
We will hear a song and she'll say "That's the song from my movie!" Meaning from the movie Elf. She also likes to go into her closet (which she pretends is a shower) and sing and sing. Again, from the movie Elf. Cracks me up!
We also enjoyed some hot chocolate since we couldn't make it to New York for the World's Best Cup of Coffee.
