AAAHHH!!!

First let me apologize to all those who have gotten some weird emails from me lately. I had no idea I was even "sending" them out and can't figure out how "they" got my contact email addresses. The emails were sent from my bergerbites account but that account has no contact information in it. All my contact information is in my lisahubley account but that account is not linked to my bergerbites account. AAAHHH!!!

Because of all this mess, I changed all my passwords and then couldn't remember what I had changed them to because I didn't write the new password down. AAAHHH!!!

Secondly the week went by sooo fast and I just realized that the last time I posted was Monday and now it's Friday. AAAHHH!!!

Thirdly I can take no pictures or post any new pictures because someone accidentally took my camera home with them after Wednesday night's service. AAAHHH!!!

Fourthly my family has been sending me pictures of their tomato plants, which by the way are all looking good, and it is making me jealous because I have no tomato plants or any other plants much to my sadness. AAAHHH!!!

But it is the weekend and we have nothing planned (that I know of right now anyway) so hopefully we will be able to get some stuff organized around here as well as take some time to relax and enjoy our family. aaahhh!!!

These are some "old" pictures of Elianna - enjoy!

Baby Toes

The other night Elianna fell asleep during our evening walk. Because she was still for once, I took the opportunity to paint her little toenails. I love baby toenails painted!

She also has to fall asleep with something in her mouth - she choose the seatbelt harness this time. Silly Elianna!

Celebrate!

For my 32nd birthday this year, my Chris decided to take me on a surprise event. First though, we had to drop Elianna off at the Butler's, who when we got there asked if Elianna could spend the night. So, after much deliberation as to food and clothing for the next day, Elianna settled in to spend the night while Chris and I headed out to our mystery destination. We met Tom, Cheri, Abigail, Pastor Walker and Kristine and headed out for an hour long drive to ... Medieval Times! You may remember that we have been here before and thoroughly enjoyed it! This time, we had others with us and was equally enjoyable, if not more so to watch the others reactions. At one point, Abigail was yelling at "our knight" to "get up and keep fighting!" She was cute to watch! After Medieval Times, my Chris and I headed out to get ice cream and then, with no baby in the house, I promptly fell asleep on the couch. It's funny how things change as you get older. I used to be able to stay up until late at night and now could fall asleep on the couch at 8 pm! Wow! Thank you to my Chris for a fun filled surprise destination!

Over the River During Our Nap to Grandmother's House We Go

Last week Elianna and I travelled to PA to visit Grandmother. We drove during her nap Thursday afternoon, spent the night and then drove back Friday afternoon during her nap. As always, we thoroughly enjoyed our time over there that we could spend with Grandmother. We visited Lauren and Linette at the farm I worked at the summer I lived with Grandmother but other than that we simply stayed at home and visited.

Just a Wee Bit Spoiled

Harley has his own cushy bed beside our bed to sleep on at night.

Harley gets 3/4 of the backseat in my car.

Harley has his own chair to curl up on and sleep in all day.

Harley got covered up by a blanket because it was chilly in the house.

Harley even has his own doggy ice cream (peanut butter).

Just a wee bit spoiled, don'tcha think?

And yet, he refuses to help out with chores around the house. Lucky dog.

Mother's Day

My Mother's Day weekend started out by Chris and I staying up all Friday night with the teens for our annual Superama. This year we played miniature golf, went rockwall climbing, skated and bowled. Every year it gets harder and harder to stay awake all night as well as harder and harder to recover the next week.

Sunday morning my Chris woke me up to serve me a cinnamon roll and juice in bed. I ate it and then promptly fell back asleep. However, my getting to wake this little girl up just made my Mother's Day.

After church we attempted a picture - I say attempted because it wasn't the greatest of pictures that came out. Take 1 8 month old, 1 crazy dog, and gale force winds = picture below.

I received 3 flowers representing my husband (red flower) and my two baby girls (yellow flowers) and a Willow Tree figurine. I was never fond of the Willow Tree figurines but every year since Victoria died my friend Wendy has given me one on Toree's birthday. Since then my love for them has grown since each figurine has such meaning. The one the kiddos gave me this year is a mother holding a little child. I love how the child has sorta redish hair like my Elianna.

Harley & Me - 8 Months

Well, I haven't quite gotten walking by myself down yet but it won't be long! I am getting braver by letting go with one hand and reaching for something with the other. I know, I've said it before, but maybe next month!

Here is what I'm up to these days!

I am talking a little bit more - mainly just "dada" and "pthhth". But not together because that wouldn't be nice.

My day is basically taken up with crawling around and pulling up on anything and everything. I especially enjoy emptying the diapers out of my diaper bag and dragging them around the house so that they collect Harley hairs on them. The other day in church nursery, there was a diaper left on the changing table and Mommy knew it was mine because there was Harley hair on it. She's not especially proud of that fact though.

My favorite places to hang out during the day are under Mommy desk in the kitchen and the bookshelf in the living room. I've recently discovered how to pull the books off the shelf. Such fun! Papi is glad they are all the books he has duplicates of so he is getting rid of them.

I climbed all the way up the stairs by myself just the other day. Yes, yes, before you all have a conniption, Mommy was right behind me to catch me. I only almost fell two times - both because I turned around in excitement to see if Mommy was still following me. When I got to the top, I was super excited and just waved my arms and smiled! Funny thing was Mommy was half smiling and half cringing. She knows she's in for it very soon!

I haven't changed much in my likes and dislikes. Still not fond of others holding me when Mommy is around and I still love my Harley - he likes to sit beside my high chair so I will share my snacks with him. Although recently I have been not enjoying eating my actual "food" and would much rather just drink a bottle or eat snacks. Whenever I open my mouth to cry, Mommy puts a spoonful of food in. She is a sneaky one that Mommy.

Until next month . . . ~Elianna

Baltimore, MD

This year our church has a theme of "The Journey" and will be taking 4 "journey" trips. The first trip was to the Baltimore Aquarium so Saturday Chris and I traveled to Maryland while Elianna stayed with a friend. We watched the dolphin show, enjoyed a 4-D show with poking and water spraying on you, viewed many many fish, birds and other amphibious creatures (hehe I sound so smart using a word like amphibious) and ate a scrumptious dinner at P.F. Chang's. We didn't take many pictures because honestly, I'm not one to take pictures of various fish and yes, amphibious creatures.

It was an enjoyable day but let me tell you, there is nothing better than coming home to our Elianna.
