Yesterday was Chris' 27th birthday! He celebrated his day by . . . yup, going to work! :) We started the morning out by having overnight french toast for breakfast, Mr. China for lunch and then for dinner he picked: Mongolian beef (recipe from P.F. Chang's), cornbread, italian zucchini and cilantro ceasar salad. Thankfully, all the dishes turned out really good! After dinner, he opened his presents which consisted of an ice cream maker from his mom and sister (Mmm . . . can't wait), money to buy Sonoma Williams cookbooks from my parents (again, Mmm . . . can't wait), gift cards from my sister's family and then from my brother's family. Finally, from me and Junior Berger he got a "Jack Bauer" bag (a bag that slings over your shoulder - if you watched "24" this last season, you'll understand what that means exactly) and the movie "The Second Chance." After dinner and opening presents, we went to Mastoris and picked up a strawberry creme tart for him and an apple thing for me and Junior.
Junior and I hope he had a wonderful birthday - we love you Chris (Daddy)!!!
Update on Junior Berger: we have our next appointment the beginning of November - we'll let you know how things are going then.
Update on the move: we will be waiting to move until the new year. Besides a new paint job, the kitchen needs redone and so for us to avoid living in the midst of the remodeling job (which we have already been through once), we have chosen to wait until the kitchen is done before moving in. Never a dull moment!
Will get pictures of Chris' birthday posted as soon as I steal back the cord for the camera from Chris' office.
