Belly Pictures

Ok so this one is out of order, but I know you all have been just sitting and waiting at your computers for belly pictures! Finally, you can view them and then go and get all that housework (or laundry for Momma) done!

Please ignore all the stuff piled up behind me. We are still working on what is now being called "The Man Cave" (previously, "The Office"). As soon as it is all together and totally organized, I will post pictures of the finished product.

Sight and Sound

With the exception of my last post, I decided it would be better to post in "as-it-happened" order. By the way to those of you who wondered, the doctor laughed and called some of the nurses in to see Chris. He said it had been a long week and this was helpful in making it a little bit better. He is very laid back so for him to say those things is a big deal.

On the Thursday Mom and Grandmother were here, we meet up with the Senior Saints from Grandmother's church in PA at Sight and Sound. Chris and I have never been there so were excited to see what was in store. But before we get there...

We first started out eating Lupper (that's lunch and supper for those of you wondering) at the Hershey Farm Restaurant. The food there was good and filled our bellies for the remainder of the night.

We then headed next door to the Millennium Theatre at Sight and Sound for the showing of "In the Beginning." It was excellent! The whole show was very moving and really caused you to stop and think about the consequences of Adam and Eve and how it has affected all of mankind. One thing I did not know about was at the end, "Jesus" spoke directly to the crowd telling them that the only way to eat at the marriage supper (what was happening on stage) was through believing on Him. Then at the very end a guy came out and gave the crowd the opportunity to come forward and pray with someone from the prayer team for whatever reason. We were very impressed by the opportunity presented. We had a great day and will hopefully be able to attend "The Miracle of Christmas" at Thanksgiving.

34 Weeks

Tomorrow Elianna will be 34 weeks! Wow! The time sure has flown by! To "celebrate" we went to ... a doctor's appointment! Excitement! Haha! This morning we had quite the entourage in the small exam room. Since Mom and Grandmother are here for the week, they came along with Chris, Elianna and I. My doctor is very laid back and not in any hurry during our visits which is nice when you are the one he is seeing but not when you are waiting for him! So to pass the time away, we decided to have a little fun! Enjoy the pictures!

In Memory

After Victoria died, the ladies of the church collected money for us to buy a tree and plant in her memory. Last week we went and picked out a crepe myrtle tree (it will have pink flowers) to plant. Saturday Chris was able to plant it and today we put her original cemetery marker in front of the tree. I can't wait until it grows big and gets beautiful flowers on it!

Weeks 33-36 - Honeydew

New Glasses

I have had the same glasses for almost 8-9 years. They were free courtesy of an eye doctor client when I lived in Florida. They are now handsomely equipped with the wire from a twisty tie - a 2 am bathroom break fix with swollen fingers do not go well with a teeny tiny screw. It was time for some new ones. Here are the old glasses:

Yesterday the new ones came and I love them!! They are so much more hip (sad to say I'm not sure if this is the current word to say - it changes so much so fast . . . and I'm a youth pastor's wife). Here are the new ones:

I also know that I promised non-naked belly pictures. Our camera is not working and I think if I tried using the camera on the computer (pictures above are from the computer camera), I may end up looking like this:

On another side note: This week has been Week 1 (of 2 weeks) of Junior High (6th-8th grade) VBS. We have been averaging around 70 teens this week. Our theme this year is Operation Space 2009. It has gone well. Last night there were 9 professions of faith - Praise the Lord! There has also only been 1 incident with the go-karts (click HERE for past go-kart experiences). We have also had a special guest 2 of the nights - Mark Gastineau, formerly of the NY Jets (1978-1988), attends our church on Sunday evenings. He has graciously come to both the younger kids and our JrH group to sign autographs and meet the kids. I'm sure most, if not half, of the kids have no idea who he is - except that he used to play football and must be somehow famous so why not get his autograph.

Now we have just 6 more nights...

July 4th

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July. Today we are off to 2 picnics ... well, one is actually a 4th of July picnic / graduation party. They should both be fun - no cooking once again as an added bonus! Also it is beautiful here - a sunny 77 degrees! Ahh! Enjoy your picnics today!
