Field Day

Field Day - Kindergarten May 2015

Oh those last fews weeks of school fun!  Naturally, it includes Field Day.  Kindergarten Field Day was hot! but several of the games the kids played involved water so it was all good!  Chris and I both went to Field Day and I feel like we helped out more than the teacher did.  Chris helped fill up water stations for a while and I helped wrangle kids (because they weren't listening) and yell at kids (not really but I really wanted to!  I don't know how teachers do it anymore.  Some kids are just so bad at school!).

All ready for Field Day!

An attempt at some team building skills which is hard to do when it involves  Kindergarteners and water.

This was the station the kids enjoyed the least.  30 minutes of shaking a heavy parachute up and down in the heat - not really fun.

She was usually the first to cheer on her classmates.  Love this kid!

Kylie's Graduation

4 months have passed since the last post??  I knew it had been a little while but didn't realize it was quite that long.  The reason behind the lack of posts is a good one - we started our Sunday Bible study back up on Sundays beginning in June.  Sunday was the day I used to post and now with Bible study and dinner afterwards and clean up, the day just slipped away and with it posts.  I still haven't figured out a good time to make it a "scheduled" time but I'm hoping to figure it out soon.

Many many things have happened in the last 4 months in addition to our starting the Bible study up once again.  We went on vacation(s), someone turned six and started 1st grade, the chickens grew, and home remodeling occurred.  However, I have to start somewhere so I guess I'll start with Kylie's graduation last May.

Kylie (Chris' cousins daughter - did you follow that?), graduated from high school.  Although her school is in Thornton, they graduated in Boulder at CU's gymnasium.  Oh, did I mention it started at 7pm on a Monday night?  Yes, Elianna got to play hooky the next day seeing as we didn't get home until about 10:30pm.  Such is life.

Elianna was so excited to go and wanted her hair done and a fancy dress on.  I seriously don't know where she got those genes.

Shawn and Tiffany gave Kylie flowers so when Elianna's graduation came about a few weeks later, she insisted we get her flowers "just like Kylie!"
