Bear

I found a stuffed bear that I decided to put in the Little Man's toys (as though he doesn't have enough toys already!). Well, Harley decided that he wanted the bear for himself. I thought he looked so cute walking around with it that we let him keep it. How cute is he?!?

Update: Since these pictures, Harley decided to perform brain surgery on Bear. Sad to say that Bear did not make it through the surgery and has been laid to rest (in the trash can). I am now on the lookout for a new (and cheap) Bear.

Week 21 - Banana

I'm not sure I understand this fruit. Small Fry went from being a cantaloupe to a banana - seems much smaller but whatever.

Small Fry - He or She??

Well, if you guessed she then you would be . . . right!!! Girl #2! The doctor said that while ultrasounds do not let him see everything, from what he can see, everything looks great! Praise the Lord! We do have more ultrasound pictures and as soon as my Chris gets an opportunity to scan them, I will post them.

As for her name - no name as of yet. We want her name to mean something along the lines of "God's Grace" or something close to a meaning like that. However, it is difficult to find a normal name that means that and one that we both agree on. If you have any suggestions, let us know and we will consider it.

Thank you all for your prayers!

Simon Pearce

While at the PA B&B, my Chris and I also visited the Simon Pearce glass-blowing store. We have never seen glass-blowing before so this was very new and interesting. They have a huge store filled with all the different items they make. I think one glass water goblet was around $60. Yeah right, I'll stick to my Linens-N-Things glasses (of course, I can't replace any of them since LNT is no longer in business. Boo!). Anyway . . . they also have a cute little restaurant where we ate a late lunch/early dinner. The food was delicious! We had Vermont Cheddar Soup, Exotic Mushroom Strudel, Chris had a Mediterranean Lamb Burger while I had Sesame Chicken (the sauce was waaaay to sweet for me) and we finished it all off with Chris eating Crème Brûlée and me indulging on Apple Cobbler. Hmmm, all so good! It sounds like alot but remember before you judge us, it was both lunch and dinner. :)

This little bookend only costs $425. Yowzers!

Easter 2009

We had a great Easter this year (except for the fact that I got asked last minute to help out in the nursery and so I did not get to be in the Easter service with my Chris or hear any of it - oh well). It was just my Chris and I for Easter lunch - we had ham, broccoli casserole, green glop (I think the "official" name for it is Watergate salad but we always called it green glop), crescent rolls and Angel Lush cake. In the afternoon we finally did our taxes and then were off to the final production of our Easter musical drama. Enjoy our Easter pictures.

I think my Chris is telling me to take the picture - quick - because Harley is actually looking at the camera.

B&B

The week after Snow Camp, my Chris surprised me by taking me to a B&B in PA for the weekend. It was beautiful and we got some much needed rest! Wouldn't it be wonderful to do every weekend?!

We were very close to the Franklin Mint although they do not make collection coins at this site anymore.

We also visited Simon Pearce a glass-blowing place - a post is coming with pictures but for now wanted to focus on the B&B.

Week 19 - Mango

Originally my goal was to take a picture each week along with the fruit that corresponds with how big Small Fry is for the week. Obviously, that wasn't working - it was hard to buy the fruit (sometimes it was so expensive and we wouldn't eat it). So the next best thing is this. Enjoy!!

Best Buds

Harley and the Little Man are the best of buds! Harley gets SO excited when he hears the Little Man pull up in the driveway in the morning! He jumps up from wherever he is and runs over to the gate with his tail just wagging frantically! The Little Man gets equally excited (without the tail wagging of course) when he comes in! He points and begins "talking" (still more like jabbering in his own language).

The Little Man loves to put his hands down for Harley to lick and now has decided his face also needs a good licking. He has also tried picking Harley up, giving him hugs, petting him (mostly lightly pounding on Harley), and recently laying on or next to Harley. Through it all Harley is patient - he just licks - wherever there is skin (face, hands, back, stomach, feet - yuck!). They are so cute together! They usually do something so cute when my camera isn't around (guess I need to start carrying it around in my pocket - right Mom?).

Now the sad news . . . the Little Man was going to attend daycare while I had Small Fry. Well, a full-time position came open for him at the daycare. :( Yup, he is going to be going now because his mommy is afraid that a full-time opening will not be available at the end of summer/beginning of a new school year when Small Fry comes. Harley and I are going to be so lonely! Harley misses the Little Man when he isn't there for a day or so - I cannot even imagine what he will be like for 6 months! Ahh! We will definately be having play dates scheduled!
