Bad news: Our computer is a bit on the fritz right now and makes it seriously hard to update things. I have a date with the Apple store tomorrow with the high hopes that things will get figured out quickly and cheaply. Will be back soon (hopefully!)!

Monday Movie Madness
Mondays in Glendale Infinity Park is "Monday Movie Madness". Unfortunately, I didn't find out about MMM until 2 weeks ago when ET: The Extra-Terrestrail was playing. I didn't think Elianna would quite enjoy that movie (or me for that matter), so we waited until this past Monday to go. Sadly, it is also the last week for MMM. We will definitely have to keep it in mind for next summer. They play family friendly movies like Toy Story, Ghostbusters, and The Wizard of Oz.
This past Monday the movie was The Princess Bride. My Chris loves that movie and can quote most of the movie while it plays so we naturally had to go see this with Elianna. We loaded up the wagon with snuggies, hot chocolate, coffee and caramel popcorn. I figured if Elianna got tired enough, she could lay down and sleep in the wagon since it has a nice soft cushion (it took me 3 tries to spell cushion right - wow!). She never did fall asleep, of course.
She totally enjoyed the movie! I wasn't sure how she would handle the sword fighting and such since she usually sticks to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Cinderella or Despicable Me. A couple times she threw out a "Uh oh!" but other than that she loved it!

Faith Day 2012
Yesterday was Faith Day at the Rockies Game with a Third Day concert afterwards. The Rockies played the Marlins. This next part is so sad. I have been so far removed from baseball that I didn't know the Marlins changed their name, colors and logo this year. They used to be the Florida Marlins with a teal marlin logo. They are now the Miami Marlins with a new hip orange and black logo. It's over halfway through baseball season. How did I not know this?
Elianna was super excited to go to the game. She kept saying "I'm so excited for my first baseball game!" We were given tickets for 2 seats in row 4 and 1 in row 5. We sat in row 6 with a friend from Wellspring, Angie. Oh! Did I fail to mention that we were in section 3 aka the nosebleed section? Didn't want you to think we were in row 6 on the ground level. It's all good though. Tickets were a good price and we had a birds eye view of everything.
The Rockies won which was an amazing feat in and of itself but the concert was, of course, spectacular. Chris and I saw Third Day in concert at Six Flags in New Jersey and it's awesome to not only hear them sing but also clearly present the Gospel. I love that they do that!
Elianna missed her nap and with being out in the sun, she was exhausted by the time we got to the car. She ate her dinner and literally 2 seconds later was sound asleep.

Tea Party
Elianna's big thing right now is to have a tea party and then put all her babies to bed. When I say babies, I mean every baby doll and every stuffed animal she has which is alot! As much as I enjoy playing with her and having tea parties with her, they also pain me. Why you ask? Well, first we have to set all the babies up for the tea party. So, she normally asks me to help her. Sure! So I start putting them down .... oh but wait! I'm not putting them in the right spot. So I try another baby. Nope not good either. With every single baby. After about the 5th or 6th baby, I've usually had it with the scolding me on putting the babies in the right spot. Mind you, I ask her where she wants said baby. God is really trying to teach me to have the right reactions and patience with this little girl. I'm working on it! Which is to say I keep going back to the tea party.

Stuck
Elianna learned the song "Tingalayo" at Story Time while Grandmother was here. On the way home she sang just the first 2 lines over and over and over and over and ... well, you get the point. That song was stuck in my head all day long.
The funny part is she sings it "Dingalayo" instead of "Tingalayo". I also love when she sings it the second time, she shakes her head and makes her voice all wobbly. Hillarious!

Honestly, the rest of the song is not worth me even putting up a link. It simply talks about a donkey who eats, kicks, talks and a bunch of other weird things. Not really sure why they sang it at Story Time but it's stuck with Elianna.

Denver Botanic Gardens in Chatfield
Last Friday was a free day at the Denver Botanic Gardens in Chatfield. These gardens are different than the ones we went to with Grandmother. These gardens are in, well, they are in Chatfield CO, hence their name.
Elianna and I went with a friend, Lisa and her 3 kiddos, Gillian, Josh and Jack. We were all a bit disappointed by the lack of garden. It was more of a farm / wilderness that you could wander around while in the heat of Summer. At one point, we were looking for some lakes and the kids were getting hyper saying this (the walking) was never ending, etc etc. We stopped to rest and began messing with the kids saying we were going to have to camp here and hunt for food and hopefully we had enough water and on and on. Her kids are so funny and were totally into that so Josh began collecting wood for a fire and Gillian started hunting for big logs to make a "tent" out of. They were too much! We pretty much called it a day after that and we never found the lakes.
Lisa is a phenomenal photographer! You will definitely be able to tell the difference between our pictures, but will still let you know which ones I snagged from her FB.

New Bed
In New Jersey, Elianna slept in her crib. In Pennsylvania, Elianna slept in her pack and play. When we moved here, she was too big for either of those but neither did we have a "big girl bed" for her. So her crib mattress simply went down on the ground and that was her "bed".
Last week, a friend from church sent out an email saying that they had gotten their kids bunk beds which left a "big girl bed" for anyone who would want it. For some reason I paused to think about it. After about an hour, I emailed her back saying if it was still available, we could make good use out of it. Thankfully, it was still available and she dropped it by one evening while we were out. While Elianna got a bath, Chris put the bed together to surprise her. Here is her reaction to seeing her new "big girl bed" (which she absolutely loves!):
Praise God for answers to prayers that were never even prayed! So thankful He knows our needs!

Boulder County Fair Prelude
The Boulder County Fair is taking place this week. This is not our county but is the county that Chris' aunt and uncle live in. I like to scour around to find things to do that are fun and free or at least very close to it.
To celebrate the beginning of the Boulder County Fair, the Twin Peaks Rotary Club hosted a "chuck wagon" breakfast last Saturday. There was a bit of confusion on the price for the breakfast but Grandmother was gracious and paid for the breakfast anyway. There were pancakes, eggs and sausage. Because we got there right at the end, it ended up as an "all you can eat" breakfast.
After breakfast we headed up to Main Street to watch the parade. It was Elianna's first parade. She was a little unsure at the beginning but at the end she knew enough to grab that candy. In fact, if you ask her what her favorite part of the parade is, she will hands down say the "candy". In addition to grabbing candy, she made sure to waive at each "float" as it went by.
It was your typical small town parade with horses, goats, cars, motorcycles and the local restaurant. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our time in Longmont watching the parade.
