Advent Calendar - Day #14

Chris left for TX on Friday afternoon and was gone until Tuesday morning.  That left us to shop and shop and go to the Olde Golden festival on Saturday, December 14.  First of all, I love Golden!  It is a cute quaint little town with an amazing pizza place!  The pizza place just makes it that much better!

We made it to Golden just in time to watch the parade.  It was a decent parade - not over the top good but when you have a parade every weekend in December, I'm sure some weeks are better than others. Elianna scored big with the candy canes so that, of course, made her super happy!

After the parade, we jetted right to the free horse carriage ride line.  It was good we went when we did because right after that the line was big and the wait was over an hour long.  We waited about 45 minutes so I made a quick jog over to Starbucks for hot chocolate to sip on while in line.  While we were waiting in the horse drawn carriage ride line, Elianna made a new friend.  Her new friend was as outgoing and friendly as Elianna, so they naturally became fast friends.  We ended up on the same carriage as the new friend and her mom which was a huge hit with the girls!  We traveled around the small town of Golden for about 10 minutes.

We then headed over to the Newfoundland dog cart rides for Elianna to take a ride on their little carts.  She absolutely loved it!

We toured around Golden, listened to the old time carolers sing and simply enjoyed the beautiful Colorado weather we had!
