Mark & Rhonda's Visit {Visit Up "North"}

Well, the day after we went "South", the next day, you guessed it, we traveled up "North".  Our first stop of the day was the Red Rocks.  Did you know that next to the word "Beautiful" in the dictionary is a picture of the Red Rocks?  Yup!  

After the RedRocks, we started the long trek up to Estes Park.  However, several things happened that did not allow us to actually make it to the town of Estes Park.  First, there was a detour but we decided to not take the recommended route leaving us to wait in a long line of cars while they blasted some fallen rocks off the road (or something like that).  We then turned around and went the recommended route leaving us farther and farther away from lunch time.  Finally at some point, it was decided that our stomachs could not handle traveling another 20+ miles so we found a spot to take a picture of the beautiful mountains and turned around and headed to eat lunch.  Sadly we never made it to Estes Park - next time guys we'll make it!
