For the last two Sundays, we have traveled to Haxtun CO for church. The pastor at Haxtun Berean is on a missions trip to India and has asked Chris to come preach for him. We love the people at Haxtun Berean but the drive not so much. The church is 2-1/2 hours away which requires us to leave at 6:30 am and results in us getting back home at 6:30 pm. It is a very long day! Elianna has been wonderful and flexible with this schedule. Yesterday she was so good! Played and entertained herself and those we ate dinner with.
Haxtun is a country country area. Many of the church members are farmers and ranchers. Yesterday the family who had us over for dinner sent us home with 3 pounds of ground beef and 4 steaks. All from their cows. They would have loaded us up with more but I wasn't sure if it would all fit in our freezer. I'm looking forward to someday getting an extra freezer and buying a 1/2 cow from Gary! Doesn't that sound delicious?! It's also amazing to see God provide!
Normally my "blog posting day" is Sunday afternoon. I seriously have lots to post but with being gone during my posting time, it's made it difficult. I'll try to fit some time in this week between normal stuff, Elianna's new school (more later), decorating for Thanksgiving which involves some crafts, getting the house ready to be destroyed by small children for our babysitting co-op this weekend and preparing to go to Haxtun for week #3 (we will be going for 4 weeks - 2 down 2 to go!). Whew!
