Upon arrival to our new home state of CO, Chris and I began looking for a place to live. We spent all day Saturday looking at apartments. Small and not so great would be on the nicer side of a description for most of the places. There was only one apartment, out of the what seems like a ton, that we would have even considered. Somewhere around noon we decided we needed a break to eat lunch. The first place we went was called Sunburst Grill. It boasted of burgers on UrbanSpoon. There was not a burger in sight. We decided we didn't even want to try it. Sad I know, but when you are hungry for a burger some food just won't cut it. We settled for Chipotle instead. Anyway, while we were eating, Chris picked up a newspaper and found several houses for rent. These houses were larger than the apartments we had looked at and were the same or just a touch more money to rent. So apartment hunting came to a screeching halt and the hunt for a house to rent was at full speed. We spent Sunday and Monday looking and looking.
God provided us with a wonderful house to rent and by Tuesday evening we had the keys. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with a fenced in back yard for Harley, a garage, large laundry room and a huge covered back patio.
By Wednesday afternoon all of our stuff was in the house. We have a lot of stuff! New friends from church came by to help and brought lunch - yay! Our new pastor brought dinner - yay! When you work hard, you get hungry - what can I say?
I am so thankful Mom has been with us this last week! She helped tremendously with Elianna on the drive out here, took care of Elianna while Chris and I apartment and house hunted and has now added scrubbed a gross kitchen clean to her resume. Thanks Mom! By the way HAPPY BIRTHDAY today!
