For those of you who read the 'Tis the Season Blog, see some of the great dinners that happen here at our house. But you may be surprised (or not) to find out that some days just don't happen all perfect like.
First let me say, I had the cutest video that was supposed to be here for your viewing enjoyment, but I had some problems with it uploading. Yeah, I know surprise, surprise. But seriously, it is the cutest! I'm hoping that my Chris can upload it from his computer at work.
Anyway, back to the original story. The other night, I placed some Sister Schubert rolls (if you've never had Sister Schubert rolls, you have been missing out!) in the oven. Well, we didn't end up eating right away so I left the rolls in the oven to keep warm. Jump to the next morning. I decided to make some chocolate chip muffins for breakfast, so when I turned the oven on to preheat I noticed that the oven was very smelly but I figured it was just something burning on the bottom of the oven. Wow that was a terrible run-on sentence. Chris says to me, "Hey Lis, I think your chocolate brownies are a little burnt." Chocolate brownies? "I didn't make any chocola ... those are the Sister Schubert rolls we were supposed to have with dinner last night." Those poor rolls. Burnt into little chocolate brownies.

Lisa, I laughed so hard I almost cried. (I am a little slap happy tired thought.) Can't remember now if I have ever done that (although I probably have), but I can tell you that I had "the great meltdown of 2006" in my oven. I stashed my Mr. Coffee Iced Tea pot, cookie sheets, plastic cutting board and other misc hand-wash items in the oven that I didn't have time to clean before my company came over. I'm sure you know what happened the next time I decided to use the oven. =D
