Moving Day!

Yesterday was officially moving day! To date all of our stuff is stuffed in our new house. Let me describe stuffed to you - when you walk in on the front porch to the right are boxes and boxes of Chris' books along with his bookshelves . . . except they are just kinda thrown over there in no specific order. To the right when you walk in on the front porch is the fridge . . . redneck fo' sure! . . . and boxes and crates of kitchen stuff and food. Nice. What the world wants to see when they drive by our "cute little house" (this is what everyone says when they find out we are moving into this house). The front rooms are littered with couches and boxes. The upstairs is littered with boxes. The basement is littered with boxes. The teens were a great help but I learned one thing from their help yesterday - they don't know how to neatly put things into a room so that there will be room for more let alone walking room. Thankfully, I was in charge of the china dishes. There was two exciting times when I thought things were not going to fit up the stairs. 1) My dresser was a hard one to get up the stairs and due to its size was shoved up the stairs - protected by sheets and comforters. Only one of the handles needs to be fixed now. 2) Our box mattress did not fit at all up the stairs and had to be literally dismantled in order for it to fit up the stairs. It then had to be reassembled last night before we could sleep.

Now today I started on putting the bathroom stuff away so that (according to Chris) we can "maintain our level of cleanliness." You are probably now wondering why, oh why, aren't you working hard and getting the bathroom together??? The Dish Network guy is here (gotta have something to do Friday night while Chris is at the Guy's Overnighter). It reminded me of the comic below:
