The week of Easter was one crazy busy week! It involved spending 3 days shopping with 3 senior girls, frantically cleaning up the house, driving to Pennsylvania, driving back to New Jersey, attending the church musical drama, grocery shopping, getting food ready, attending the 2nd night of the church musical drama, figuring out that Hot Cross Buns are supposed to be eaten on Good Friday not Easter morning, having 16 people in our teeny tiny dining room, eating too much food, attending the 3rd night of the church musical drama, driving to Pennsylvania, driving back to New Jersey and watching Chris play softball.
I. am. so. bored. NOT! It was a great week though! We did enjoy having Grandmother over for a few days. We also had a great time with all of our Easter dinner guests. This year we expanded our guest list by 5. We invited one additional family of 3, a gentleman who lost his wife a week and a half earlier and Grandmother. The good thing about having people over is that you only have to make part of the meal not the entire meal. Chris made the delicious ham (apple maple ham) this year while I simply had to make spinach strawberry salad, Sister Schubert rolls and scalloped potatoes. I got off pretty easy with the cooking this year! In addition, we used plastic plates, cups and utensils. Pretty good thinking don'tcha think?!?
Now my days are filled with warm sunny weather which means the summer schedule is in full swing. Softball games, getting up early to exercise, grilling and spending as much time as possible outside! I love this time of year! Totally my favorite!
