A couple weekends ago, we took Elianna apple picking for the first time. After we showed her how to pull the apples off the tree and put them in the bag, she did a great job! Of course, she also wanted to pick the rotten apples up off the ground. We only picked about 16 pounds this time to be used to make a little bit of apple sauce and maybe a batch of apple butter. Chris's favorite apple, Red Delicious, is not ready to be picked yet so we will have to go again.
Elianna must have liked the apples because the next day, she walked over, took an apple out of the bag and bit a huge chunk out of it. Later on, she dropped it and Harley took over but she really seems to enjoy them - dripping juice off her chin and everything!
