New York City

As if we hadn't already done enough galavanting around, we went to NYC with Chris' brother & sister-in-law over the weekend. It was a very nice trip up there - we hung out in their hotel room, ate dinner and then took a short jaunt through Central Park before we hit the subway back to our car.

Peek-a

BOO!

Hmm... what's this?

Everyone is smiling so I guess it goes in my mouth...

Ewww... what was that?

Don't mind me...

I'm just hanging out.

Enough playing around. I'm exhausted!

Farm Fair

Friday after we went to the shore, the Koenig's took us out to dinner and then to a local farm fair. Dinner was at a new Italian restaurant and was delicious!

The farm fair had all the carnival rides and food, but we stuck with the animals. Elianna enjoyed getting to look at and pet them all!

The cows were a little unfriendly and scared even Papi.

Elianna got so excited when she saw this dog. She even stuck her little face down in front of the dog's face with the hopes that he would give her a good licking. The dog did not oblige her but instead gave her a look of "What in the world is up with this little girl? I'm not part of the exhibit."

She got to pet goats, sheep, a rabbit, a baby duckling and a baby chick.

She absolutely loves animals - who knows, she may be a veterinarian and can charge others exuberant amounts of money for broken legs. But that's a complaint story for another day.

The Shore

Friday Chris took off of work and we headed out to the Shore for a few hours. It was Elianna's first time to the beach. Seeing as she did not care for the pool at all, I did not have high hopes for the shore. How wrong I was. She loved the sand. She loved the water. She loved eating the sand. She loved everything about it. Except for having to wear the hat.

This is how she fell asleep on the way home. Silly girl!

Harley Update

Well after Harley's run in with the semi truck, he only broke 2 bones in his front right leg and then, of course, has the big gash in his face. He does not appear to have any internal injuries. The vet was amazed that this is all that happened to him. Right now, he has a temporary wrapping on his leg. Monday we go to get the "permanent" cast which he will have to wear for 4 weeks. Four very long weeks. Four weeks of not being able to run out all his energy. Four weeks of carrying him up and down the stairs. Four weeks of him hobbling on 3 legs. Long weeks. He will survive, but will we? Oh our aching backs.
