After the kids hit up the hoola hoops and watched a magician, it was ice cream time! Creamy smooth ice cream with toppings - delicious! After we ate our ice cream and the kids played with the bubble machine maker, the guys began throwing around a frisbee. One slip of the throw and that there frisbee flew straight into the water. Dramatic story full of crying and hysteria cut short, with some ingenious moves that involved 2 hoola hoops and some leaning out over the water (cue hysteria), Chris and Nick managed to pull the frisbee from its sure fate in the water. There is usually something crazy going on when the Pollards and the Promersbergers are together.

Then came the standing in line for face painting time. Elianna and Dani both got butterflies but by 2 different face painters. It was interesting to see the difference between the two perspectives. Caleb was a zombie while Jenn and I opted for a small portion of our face to get painted. The fun part was while we were standing in line waiting for Elianna to get her butterfly, the face painter lady saw Chris and told him she wanted his "blank canvas" (head). She ended up painting his entire head red and made it look like a pirate bandana. It was actually very cool! Totally fit him.
