This year for Elianna's 2nd birthday, we first headed to Picture People over in Lancaster PA. Long story short, it took 3 hours from when we walked in to when we walked out. Entirely too long! After her pictures (which I will have to share with you later), we drove to Bird-in-Hand PA to go on an Amish buggy ride. While we were waiting, Elianna kept saying "I don't like buggies. I don't like buggies." Once she got in the buggy and we started going, she loved it! We rode through Amish country and then visited a local dairy farm. Overall the tour was 1 hour but didn't seem that long because we didn't cover very much territory in just a buggy.
She napped on the way home before arriving home to open her presents and eat cupcakes.
Last year we began a new tradition for her birthday. This year, we carried the tradition on by tying 2 balloons to her bed. One was Elmo and the other a Happy Birthday balloon. Guess which one she loved the most?!? Elmo!!!
Overall it was a nice way to spend her birthday. No big planning. No big hoopla. Just family time spent celebrating a little girl we love a whole bunch!
