Homeless for a Night

Friday night we had a new activity called DisplaceMe. For all of Friday night we were "homeless" and ate crunched up sandwiches, hung out around a fire in a metal drum and slept outside in cardboard boxes. It wasn't too bad until we all tried to fall asleep on the hard ground while trying not to think about bugs and the fact of them quite possibly crawling in our mouth, ear or anywhere on us. After not much sleep, Saturday morning we went to the Rescue Mission and did some work for them there. All in all it definately taught us to be extremely thankful for what we do have.

Thought it was funny that even in the midst of our "homelessness", you could tell a distinct difference in how the boy's built their "house" and how the girl's built their "houses."

Graduation Cupcakes

So the teen graduation party Sunday night after church went well. Below are some pictures and, for those of you who are wondering, yes the cupcakes turned out well. Many people commented on how cute they were - I thought they were too! Not exactly like the picture (and of course I picked a cupcake with cookie problems to take a picture of) but they turned out well.

Here are more pictures of the Little Man (with my Chris in the 2nd picture).

Graduation 2008

Well we have been to 5 graduation ceremonies as of Thursday and we are planning on attending 2 more tomorrow. Along with all those ceremonies, we have 1 party Saturday and then the teen party we host at church Sunday.

This year we decided to make cupcakes instead of buying cakes for each graduate. Below is a picture of what the cupcakes are supposed to look like. After this weekend is over, I will post a picture of what our cupcakes ended up looking like. :) We are praying that they look fairly close to this picture.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to Toree's Daddy! For Father's Day, my Chris got a new tie (goes with his new green shirt) and dog tags. The dog tags are a cross and then an actual tag with Toree's initials on them. Instead of wearing them (the chain was super long), he said he may take the tag and cross off the chain and stick them in his pocket. Pictures soon to come.

Happy Father's Day to my Daddy too! I love and miss you bunches Pops-a-Doodle! :)
